Mu Alpha Theta is a nationally recognized math honor society co-sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Mathematical Association of America. With chapters all across the United States, Mu Alpha Theta is one of the biggest clubs in America.
IMSA's Mu Alpha Theta chapter started many years ago to improve students' interest in math through fun events. Over the years the chapter has sophisticated, and now is the biggest club on campus. Students elect a board that meets monthly and organizes big events such as Lock-In, Junior High Math Contest, Jeopardy Competition, Clash of the Smart People, and more!
