Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy FBLA
What is FBLA?
FBLA is the acronym for Future Business
Leaders of America, a nationwide program that has run for over 55 years, with
over 250,000 members. It helps students get acclimated to the modern business
world, and provide opportunities to experience it for themselves. Every year,
there are three major conferences that will bring you in contact with people
from our region, state, and nation that share your interests and aspirations. At
each conference, competitive events are held in subjects such as Business Math,
Website Design, Entrepreneurship and Public Speaking, among other things. Award
ceremonies are held at each conference, recognizing the best in each subject.
The organization is also involved in charity, routinely donating to the March of
Dimes.
Why join FBLA?
If you take any interest in business, the
organization is a great way to further your knowledge and experience in the
corporate world. FBLA develops leadership, character, and skills important to
the expanding business world. FBLA provides for many opportunities for
IMSA’s chapter:
FBLA was chartered only two years ago, but
we have competed at regional, state, and national levels with success. We hope
to capitalize on our experiences vault our chapter into prominence with fresh
talent and new leadership.
